Buck Creek Trout Farm is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Marion, NC.
Two pristine creeks surrounded by U.S. Forest Service Land come together to form an ideal home for both native and farm-raised trout.
Buck Creek is a small, family-owned business whose top priority is customer service.
All trout on the farm are egg-hatched and hand-fed to market size. Picnic facilities are available.
For your convenience, Buck Creek Trout Farm is located only 3.5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 20 miles from beautiful Mount Mitchell State Park, and just 6 miles to Mt. Mitchell Golf course. Also within a short driving distance are Crabtree Meadows, Little Switzerland, Linville Falls and Linville Caverns.

PLEASE NOTE:
During holiday weekends cooking your catch will not be allowed on the premises
there are too many people and vehicles around to allow cooking safely.
You may of course rent the pavilion at these times and cook in the pavilion. Call for details.

The catch-out pond is a wonderful place for family fun and group outtings. We provide fishing poles, and bait.
Ice is available at $3.50 per bag for packing your cooler.
This is fun fishing for any age or skill level. No fishing license is required. We will clean your trout for a small fee, or we have facilities available if you prefer to clean your own.
There is a picnic area with a covered pavilion right beside the creek. This is a great place for church groups, family reunions, or even school field trips. Truly fun for all ages. Groups of 10 or more should call ahead for reservations.

Fresh, choice trout are soaked in a delicate brine for 12 hours and meticulously smoked for a fresh tasty delicacy that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or an entree. Two sizes are available. Buck Creek Country Store!
We are delighted to announce the opening of our new country store on Buck Creek. Our store is packed with everything from gifts and souvenirs of your trip through to snacks and freshly baked goods to have your mouth watering!
Store Hours:
Weekends ONLY from April 1 until May 15. Then the store will be open for the season Wednesday- Sunday 10:00AM-5:00PM.
