Buck Creek Trout Farm needs your help

Buck Creek Trout Farm took the Ross family almost 50 years to build. It was our family business. My mom and dad - owners Bill & Beth Ross had recently added a country store, all with the goal of welcoming families to share with them the joy of catching rainbow trout. We welcomed all people, from all places to come to a farm rooted in family, friendship and togetherness. If you visited, you were family to us and knew it was a special place.

For generations, families caught their first fish, then brought their children to fish, and then their grandchildren. It became a favorite of locals and visitors alike as a way to enjoy the beautiful mountains of western NC. On September 26th, 2024 - the unimaginable happened and a hurricane came through that has devastated our home and business. Under any other circumstances we would never ask for help, but unfortunately we did not have flood insurance to cover the damage. So, we are now asking our community to come together to help us salvage and clean up this incredibly special property that means so much to so many. Maybe one day, the joyful cries of a child catching their first fish can once again be heard on Buck Creek Trout Farm
